Light of Hope Global ministries and ConneXions Institutes are situated in the Western part of Kenya in Butere Mumias District at Shiatsala Market. The Light of Hope Global ministries has a flourishing local church that began in 2004 and has since grown to 145 members. Our vision is reaching our community. Jesus has opened doors for us to minister in many ways locally and many people have given their lives to Jesus Christ. Such results have come with a need for a Primary (Grade) School that will meet the critical need of education for many children that are orphans. It gives specific emphasis for Christian values which result in developing a new generation of Christian leaders for Kenya and the world.
We have begun with Baby Class and Grade one and we believe it will grow to High school progressively.
These children, most of them are orphans and being taken care by their grandparents who are poor and not able to meet their basice needs. some are have a singel parent who is also on the way dying of HIV Aids. Some have been tested HIV positive. Pray over them God's healing. They lack medication attention because it is accessible. Our vision is to have our own clinic to take care of this need.
Infact, parents of these children died just because they did not get any medical attention when started getting sick. Pray that car for this children and those who have single parents that they will be healed or live little longer to take care of these children. This a huge burden and ministry for the Children but we are delighted to do what we can.
Our vision
We began the Academy in 2006 in response to the tremendous need in our region for quality education. The school has been very well received in the community and is now considered one of the best in the area.
Our aim is to bear witness to the excellence of our God as we pursue excellence in education. God is glorified in our community as we develop health and connected children and leaders the Church tomorrow.
Our Need
There re several ways you can join us in our vision:
1. Land & Building Fund
The Kenyan government requires all registered schools to own 3 acres of land or more on which to operate. We currently own half acre and are working on purchasing an additional two and half (21/2) acres. It is our hope to reach this goal in time for our current 1st grade class to move in the 3rd grade January 2008. The
purchase price for the land we have selected and construction of three classes and a dormitory will cost us $ 20,000. Please pray with us that we will meet this goal.
2. Child Sponsorships
The cost for a child to attend the Academy for one year is $ 175. There are many children and families in our area who would like to attend our school but cannot afford these fees. The church currently supports 10 such children. We invite you to consider sponsoring a needy child for a year of education and meals for about $ 15 per month.

OUR GOAL
With wisdom, anointing, and building upon the foundation of the Holy Spirit and Biblical absolutes, parents and church staff will work together to:
Instill in each student the fear of God, knowing that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
Train students to be Godly in character: respectful of authority, kind, humble, well-mannered, decisive, punctual, and responsible.
Nurture each student in the art of self-discipline in order to prepare them to be motivated in life.
Equip each student with a complete, spirit-filled, academic foundation, including Bible, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Fine Arts.

In cooperation with parents, our expectation is that each student will:
Possess a Biblical world view.
Know how to be spiritual self-feeders.
Discern what God has created them to be and do.
Develop their own unique expressions of heart-felt worship to God.
Learn how to be problem-solvers in a world of problem-makers.
Know how to discern the voice and leading of the Holy Spirit.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our Cooperative School exists to bring together the special giftings of parents in order that CCK students may receive a superior and unique education, one that provides the latitude children need as they learn, instill Godly character and respect of authority, and gives each student the opportunity to discover and use their God-given gifts.
Education of our children will be built upon the foundation of the Holy Spirit. Recognizing that the natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God because they are spiritually discerned, we will seek to instill truth taught by the Spirit, expressed in spiritual words. I Corinthians 1:18-2:16
OUR IMPLEMENTAION
STRATEGY
Fathers will be the key to implementing this vision; and, with the equipping of the church, they will provide the necessary motivation and discipline for their children.
By the power of the Holy Spirit, parents and pastoral staff will build true academic education upon the foundation of spiritual passion through daily times of prayer, worship, meditation, and Bible study.
With the equipping of the church and the oversight of a master teacher, parents will teach the students and provide necessary supervision to guarantee that they are comprehending the material taught.
Students will not be limited to the pace of their age or grade group, but will proceed at the pace of their own learning abilities. Deute
