One our callings apart from leadership development is Church planting. We have so far planted 25 churches in the last five (5) or so years. We are targeting to have at least 50 Churches by the year 2014.

We are working on strengthening the existing churches as we plant new ones. This December we are having a crusade and a leaders' Conference to strengthen our church in Butere. Please, pray for these crusade and conference. Pray that many will give their lives to Jesus and come to the church. pray that many pastors will come for the conference expecting to hear from the lord. We are getting pastor from difference Church groups across our area. pray for provsion for this meetings. We need $600 to have this meetings successful. Pray and see God work

Light of Hope Global Ministries

ConneXions Elite Academy

Changing our world

By changing our community
Light of Hope Global ministries and ConneXions Institutes are situated in the Western part of Kenya in Butere Mumias District at Shiatsala Market. The Light of Hope Global ministries has a flourishing local church that began in 2004 and has since grown to 145 members. Our vision is reaching our community. Jesus has opened doors for us to minister in many ways locally and many people have given their lives to Jesus Christ. Such results have come with a need for a Primary (Grade) School that will meet the critical need of education for many children that are orphans. It gives specific emphasis for Christian values which result in developing a new generation of Christian leaders for Kenya and the world.

We have begun with Baby Class and Grade one and we believe it will grow to High school progressively.

These children, most of them are orphans and being taken care by their grandparents who are poor and not able to meet their basice needs. some are have a singel parent who is also on the way dying of HIV Aids. Some have been tested HIV positive. Pray over them God's healing. They lack medication attention because it is accessible. Our vision is to have our own clinic to take care of this need.

Infact, parents of these children died just because they did not get any medical attention when started getting sick. Pray that car for this children and those who have single parents that they will be healed or live little longer to take care of these children. This a huge burden and ministry for the Children but we are delighted to do what we can.

Our vision

We began the Academy in 2006 in response to the tremendous need in our region for quality education. The school has been very well received in the community and is now considered one of the best in the area.

Our aim is to bear witness to the excellence of our God as we pursue excellence in education. God is glorified in our community as we develop health and connected children and leaders the Church tomorrow.

Our Need

There re several ways you can join us in our vision:

1. Land & Building Fund

The Kenyan government requires all registered schools to own 3 acres of land or more on which to operate. We currently own half acre and are working on purchasing an additional two and half (21/2) acres. It is our hope to reach this goal in time for our current 1st grade class to move in the 3rd grade January 2008. The

purchase price for the land we have selected and construction of three classes and a dormitory will cost us $ 20,000. Please pray with us that we will meet this goal.

2. Child Sponsorships

The cost for a child to attend the Academy for one year is $ 175. There are many children and families in our area who would like to attend our school but cannot afford these fees. The church currently supports 10 such children. We invite you to consider sponsoring a needy child for a year of education and meals for about $ 15 per month.

Yes!!!

I want to help in the vision of Light of Hope Global Ministries and Academy

____ I want to sponsor a child ($15 / month)

____ I want to make an in kind

gift for your wish list (see below)

________ I want to contribute to the

land and building fund

One time gift $ __________

Monthly pledge for one year $ ________

Name: ______________________

Address: ____________________

Phone: _______________________

E-mail: _____________________

Wish List: PA system, generator,

sports equipment, school supplies,

durable plastic/melamine cups and

plates, used clothing, VCR etc.

OUR

MISSION

Reaching the World for Jesus beginning at Butere

Providing quality education for the whole person

Instilling Christian values in children. Our goal raise healthy kids who will be healthy citizen of our country and Leader in the church and community

OUR GOAL

With wisdom, anointing, and building upon the foundation of the Holy Spirit and Biblical absolutes, parents and church staff will work together to:

Instill in each student the fear of God, knowing that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

Train students to be Godly in character: respectful of authority, kind, humble, well-mannered, decisive, punctual, and responsible.

Nurture each student in the art of self-discipline in order to prepare them to be motivated in life.

Equip each student with a complete, spirit-filled, academic foundation, including Bible, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Fine Arts.

I Chronicles 12:32; Proverbs1; II Timothy 2:15

In cooperation with parents, our expectation is that each student will:

Possess a Biblical world view.

Know how to be spiritual self-feeders.

Discern what God has created them to be and do.

Develop their own unique expressions of heart-felt worship to God.

Learn how to be problem-solvers in a world of problem-makers.

Know how to discern the voice and leading of the Holy Spirit.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our Cooperative School exists to bring together the special giftings of parents in order that CCK students may receive a superior and unique education, one that provides the latitude children need as they learn, instill Godly character and respect of authority, and gives each student the opportunity to discover and use their God-given gifts.

Education of our children will be built upon the foundation of the Holy Spirit. Recognizing that the natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God because they are spiritually discerned, we will seek to instill truth taught by the Spirit, expressed in spiritual words. I Corinthians 1:18-2:16

OUR IMPLEMENTAION

STRATEGY

Fathers will be the key to implementing this vision; and, with the equipping of the church, they will provide the necessary motivation and discipline for their children.

By the power of the Holy Spirit, parents and pastoral staff will build true academic education upon the foundation of spiritual passion through daily times of prayer, worship, meditation, and Bible study.

With the equipping of the church and the oversight of a master teacher, parents will teach the students and provide necessary supervision to guarantee that they are comprehending the material taught.

Students will not be limited to the pace of their age or grade group, but will proceed at the pace of their own learning abilities. The vision for this training program was birthed as a result of seeing the need for training among the Christian leaders in Africa, especially in the African Indigenous Churches. As a Christian leader once said, “the Church in Africa is growing like a river 25 miles wide and one inch deep.” There is no proper doctrinal foundation in most of the African church. Pastors are not trained. One example of this situation is Ruwe Holy Ghost Church of Africa in Kenya, which has over 500 local churches with no single trained pastor. Because of the outreach of Light of Hope (LOH) Global Ministries to this denomination, one of the Ruwe pastors is in a Bible Seminary studying for a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible and Theology. This single pastor, who will hopefully be a blessing for thousands of people, is nonetheless a drop of salt in the ocean, compared to the many that are not trained in his denomination.

According to research carried out by Daystar University in Kenya, there are over 30 million believers in over 10,000 African Indigenous Churches. And new churches are opening nearly every week. It is believed that this growth will triple in a period of ten to twenty years.

Light of Hope Global Ministries (LOH) is the sponsoring organization of the Institute. It is not the desire of the LOH to create a denominational structure but rather a network working between denominations, churches, organizations, and nations to equip and prepare laborers for worldwide spiritual harvest. It is to this purpose that LOH is dedicated, to recruit, train, motivate, and mobilize a network internationally.

Light of Hope Global Ministries was conceived by the Holy Spirit in answer to a cry from the harvest fields in Eastern Africa for materials geared for training the average world-class healthy leaders. The Institute is birthed as a vision designed to move leaders from vision to reality. The curriculum takes students beyond teaching to training where participation is required. This is participation to which students are challenged for spiritual reproduction and life transformation. Jesus final command was to reproduce spiritually (Matthew 23:19-20).

Light of Hope Global Ministries’ ConneXions Leadership Training Institute (C.L.T.I) is not as inclusive as a traditional Bible Institutes because it eliminates materials not directly related the real need of the church in Africa. We are not in competition with the traditional Bible Institutes but our training is for Church Leaders both men and women who do not have opportunities, education and/or finances, for such training; then trusting God to meet these needs of both the emerging and existing leaders.

ConneXions Leadership Training Institute (C.L.T.I) equips students with creative Bible study skills to enable continued study of Scriptures following basic course training. But the primary focus of the institute is teaching what Jesus taught to move men from observation to demonstration of the power of God. Our goal is nothing less than life change or transformation in the lives of the students. This is achieved by creating environment of prayer, accountability groups, intentional fire (circumstance to prompts deep seeking of God), etc that are geared toward the same goal- transformation process in the student’s lives.

Historical background:

During the first part of the 20th century, Sub-Sahara Africa was known as “The White Man’s Graveyard”, and or “the Dark Continent” because of the difficulties and apparent failures of most missionaries who tried to spread the gospel in the continent. In 1900, there were 8 million Christians in Africa. Up to 1950, the Gospel had reached less than 5% of the continent. However, in the 21st century, those old terms as mentioned above no longer apply. No other continent has seen the growth of Christianity like Africa. Things have changed. Currently, Africa has the highest ratio of evangelicals to general population of any continent. By 1990, the number of evangelical Christians had risen to 275 million (57.3% of the total population).

Along with the rapid expansion of Christianity, there has come a need for trained leadership. It is forecasted that there will be an average of 6.5 million new believers each year in Africa alone, or the equivalent of 26,000 congregations of 250 believers each. There is, therefore, a clear and urgent need to develop and implement relevant life changing training that will equip the one and half million leaders in the local churches to disciple the millions of people that are coming to Christ.

The need:

Such rapid growth and expansion calls for urgent changes in the training paradigm. The existing training institutions, besides not being able to meet the demand, is flawed because of the following reasons:

Institutions are training people for the ministry, but they neglect to train those leaders already in the ministry.

The cost of training is too high.

Traditional training in residential schools is producing “professional leaders”, people who are so far up the educational ladder that they are disconnected from the reality of the people they are supposed to lead.

Traditional schools do not respond to the real needs of the church.

Patrick Johnstone of Operation World says that leadership training in Africa is “the critical bottleneck. There is lack of funds – in a continent becoming poorer – for training and supporting the full-time worker…”

In a nutshell, today’s crisis in African Church can be summarized in the following statement: “the church is like a sheep without a Shepherd.” The church is growing faster than its leadership.

Traditional models must give way to Training and Equipping in Action, the model of leadership training that the ConneXions Leadership Training Institute has adopted. Leaders need to be trained in the context of ministry and with the community in which they are found. This is an important point. Training them in ministry and not for ministry. This type of training will give them frontline ministry experiences that will lead toward internal and practical application of the knowledge learnt. Those leaders who are not already in the ministry should be training in a community-oriented church that is open to giving them real ministry experiences and that will allow them to operate within their callings and passions. Curricula must be developed to meet the needs of the church and not the needs of the school. The school exists to serve the church and not the church to serve the school. Doing the right thing must be translated into doing the right thing right.

The Target Audience for C.L.T.I Training

The churches that LOH through C.L.T.I is targeting for training are known by the following names: Africa Independent Churches, African Spiritual Churches, African Initiated Churches or African Indigenous Churches. Basically, these are churches started by African leaders that do not have connections to mission organizations.

This group of churches is creating a phenomenon. They are springing up like mushrooms all across black Africa. This growth started during the era of colonial domination and widespread efforts of Christian missions. Scholars have come up with variety reasons to explain the dynamics that gave rise to these churches. Some of these reasons include:

Camouflaged resistance to an intrusive and disruptive colonial presence.

Efforts to contextualize the Christian faith and message brought by western missionaries.

Efforts to salvage some sense of self-worth and dignity amidst the daily struggles to survive as menial laborers in an economy dominated by and tilted toward a minority white population.

While there is broad variety among these groups regarding dress regulations, activities, and degree of appropriation of beliefs and practices of orthodox Christianity, there are some broad basic characteristics they all share.

All the African indigenous churches take their stance squarely within the African cultural worldview, which accepts demonic power and the practicing of the occult as a fact of daily life.

They all view life as a daily spiritual power encounter with the invisible forces of evil.

They all draw liberally from the Old Testament traditions and practices (i.e. the priesthood).

They all have exuberant styles of worship, which engages everyone present in singing, clapping, dancing, jumping, shouting, and roaring as a sign of the Holy Spirit coming upon them.

They feature healing services as regular part of the church life. These beliefs have led some churches to seek other power aside from God’s to administer healing to their members. Patrick Johnstone says that, due to the lack to training, “syncretism is a major problem in many areas” of the African church.

With long history of strained relations both with the government authorities and mission-established churches, the indigenous churches forged their own patterns of church life without the benefit of any formal and sound Biblical training. Light of Hope Global Ministries (LOH) decided to forego the usual pattern of planting yet another denominational identity, and to rather place itself at the disposition of the African Indigenous Churches (AICs). This approach has helped to open doors of opportunity for ministry among these churches. The focus of LOH is on Bible teaching, affirmation and facilitation of leadership development among these denominations. LOH currently works with 10 of the Kenya AICs.

The Purpose and Objective of ConneXions Leadership Training Institute (C.L.T.I)

Establish a training program where AICs feel comfortable and have a sense of belonging. The existing training institutions have not created a good environment to train the AICs.

Establish a transformational adventure in leadership training in every country in Africa that will impact the church of Jesus Christ.

Establish a training program that is relevant – training leaders in ministry and not for ministry in a non-residential and non-traditional training model.

Meet the training needs created by the explosive growth of the AICs by equipping connected healthy and holistic leaders who will impact the African Church.

Help bring about qualitative growth in the church in Africa.

Types of Training Programs

ConneXions Leadership Training Institute (CLTI) will conduct three different training models:

Two-year Semi-residential Training Program (SRP)

This program consists of two tracks

English track

Swahili track

Church Based Leadership Training (CBLT) Program

Three one-week training conferences.

1. Two-year semi-residential training program

This program will focus on training leaders in ministry rather than for ministry. Leaders will come to the training center for five (5) weeks and go through three different courses on each term. After five weeks they will go back to their various churches for two months. While at home they will have light assignments or and a course that will help them apply what they have learnt. The two-year semi-residential program is designed to serve those leaders who fear leaving their church positions for extremely long periods of time and instead choose to serve without training.

The English track is meant for those local leaders who are proficient in English. However, there are leaders in many denominations who speak only the local languages. The Swahili program seeks to address this issue. Swahili is Kenya’s national language and most of people communicate in it. In Tanzania, Swahili is the official language of communication. Ugandans learns Swahili in school and most of people who have not gone to High School will prefer to learn in Swahili. Our vision is to meet the need of training for the leader who is saying, “I need training”, but doesn’t speak an international language.

Training materials are available in English but not yet in Swahili. The number of students will be limited to 25 in each track, especially for the first year.

2. Church-Based Leadership Training

CBLT is the field-training program of C.L.T.I. It is designed for pastors or leaders who are not able to come for the five-week Semi-residential Training because of church or family situations, or even because of finances. The purpose of this type of program is to take the training to ministers and leaders to their local areas.

CBLT works through what is called “satellite schools.” These satellite schools are in individual churches where pastors and leaders of a specific denomination meet for training. The training is conducted daily for a period of one or two weeks depending on the arrangement of the church with us. After two or so months the same group will be recalled for another one or week training session.

Some of the “satellite schools” will run during the period when the semi-residential students are with their churches and families because we expect them mobilize and facilitate these classes. After enough people are trained, thus having enough personnel, both schools will run concurrently.

This church-based institute with spirit-filled staff offers aggressive ministry training for thorough equipping of Christian leadership from their churches. We emphasize balanced doctrine, servanthood, leadership, character development and developing a biblical global perspective. ConneXions Leadership Training Institute (C.L.T.I) is a place to train men and women called to full-time ministry and those interested in becoming better equipped to serve their local church. We offer academic excellence and methods that will train you through this program to maximize your leadership skills and attitude to reach your God-given potential.

3. Three one-week training Conferences.

LOH will conduct three regional training conferences in a year. Two of these conferences will take place in Kenya and one in Uganda. The conference will serve a two-fold purpose: to teach and train pastors and leaders and to let other people know about the training opportunities available to them through C.L.T.I and C.B.L.T. The conferences in Uganda will serve as preparatory steps to the opening of an LOH ministry office and a Leadership school.

The outcome expected from C.L.T.I training:

Spiritual life transformation - growth in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. That will lead students into the likeness of Christ. Nothing less than life change will be encouraged.

Church Growth. Pastors who complete C.L.T.I training program will be in a position to train other members of their church so that they become functioning members of the body of Christ. Through the teaching of sound doctrine, the church will experience both qualitative and quantitative growth.

Church Planting: As leaders are trained in the new areas, they will start new churches.

Understanding of the role of a pastor: Pastors will understand their job description as

Training Materials: (Reference Books)

Currently, we are trusting God for someone who can assist C.L.T.I with curricula, books, and other relevant training materials.

Mission Statement

The vision and purpose of Light of Hope Global Ministries through C.L.T.I is to equip the leaders in ministry through timely, cost effective, culturally relevant training that is geared to producing healthy holistic leaders. We desire to raise up a mighty army of men and women who are prepared to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through vision and spiritual preparation of the heart, and training in the Word of God, its principles and methods.

Conclusion

The seed of destiny is planted in the heart of each one of us. We all carry a secret passion to accomplish something of value with our lives. The need for purpose is God’s dream in your heart that yearns for expression and fulfillment. In every generation, God raises up visions to provide opportunities for every individual to fulfill his or her purpose in life. Here LOH we believe this vision given by God as a place for thousands, just like you who want to impact this and future generations by well trained, built up Christians and world class healthy leaders who will impact the world for God.

Training Center Construction Budget

LIGHT OF HOPE GLOBAL MINISTRIES

CONNEXIONS LEADERSHIP TRAINING INSTITUTE (CLTI)

ConneXions Leadership Training Institute (CLTI) is one of the ministries of the LOH Global Ministries. The vision for this training program was birthed 2000 as a result of seeing the need for training among the Christian leaders in Africa amidst an alarming growth of the church. LOH Global Ministries is working with over 20 different indigenous church movements in Africa.

THE NEED

In Africa, there are too few trained leaders to disciple the masses of people coming to Christ and entering the Church.

There is, therefore, a clear and urgent need to develop and implement relevant life changing training that will equip the one and half million healthy leaders in the local churches to disciple the millions of people that are coming to Christ. In a nutshell, today’s crisis in African Church can be summarized in the following statement: “sheep without a Shepherd.” The church is growing faster than its leadership. The existing traditional training institutes are not developing real health leaders who can match this present growth of the church. Therefore, such rapid growth and expansion calls for urgent changes in the training paradigm because the present paradigm has not produced healthy leaders to match the rapid growing churches in East Africa

OUR VISION

To develop Healthy Leaders to meet the demands of the rapidly growing churches in East Africa

LOH GLOBAL MINISTRIES OBJECTIVES

1. To construct a ConneXions Learning Center that will be a work base and showcase for future ConneXions in East Africa and beyond

2. Establish a Center where leaders will gather for Leadership Seminars, Conferences and our Semi-residential program.

3. Construct Structures to Serve as a Training Center and Central Office for East Africa Region

4. To train a group of 20 ConneXions people who will help bring awareness of ConneXions Model in Kenya

STRATEGY

1. The Construction starts in December 2006 and be completed in March 2207.

2. To mobilize men and women to volunteer their time, and labor for the construction of the ConneXions Learning Center

· Men to be involved in actual construction - digging the foundation, laying brick, etc

· Women to fetch water and prepare or bring meals to the workers

· Leaders from different Easter African nations will be invited to come for a four Days SBHL conference in April 2007 and for the dedication of our new ConneXions Learning Center and East African Regional Office

· Some one from Strategic Global Assistance Inc will be invited to be part of this occasion and teach the SBHL.

3. ConneXions Class to commence in April, 2007 with at least 25 participants who will be developed to become Trainers and to oversee the starting of other ConneXions Learning Centers both in Kenya and in their respective East African Countries.

· At least five people will be recruited from each countries

· At the end of five Years this people should have started at 3 ConneXions Learning Centers by first established 3 Church Based Leadership Institutes in their various countries

BUDGET REQUEST

We anticipate a one donation of approximately $19,831. We request financial support for this project budget accumulating to $19,831. This goes toward the construction of Training Center in Kenya.

PROJECTED OUTCOME OF THE CLTI TRAINING

1.

Trip to America

Portland Oregon

I traveled well and arrived in Portland, Oregon and I was picked by pastor Richard of the Eagles Wings Ministries. The conference was so wonderful. the Main thing of was on Equiping for ministry and raising Sons for ministry. the present of God was so Evident this place. Apostle Richard Wright has heart for God and for the nation. He is real Father. He has developed so many sons that are working in different nations of the world It was good to know him and connect with in spirit. He is my father.

Elkhart, Indiana

I arrived in Indiana on the 18th June and picked by Pastor Gary Yordy. The receiption was wonderful. In evening the Leadership development conference started with registration. I met with many leaders from different ministries and churches. I was happy to see many of them willing and yet strugglling on how to make a shift from the present traditional approach to leadership development and to conneXions model. ConneXions Model is the model that will raise healthy leaders to match the explosive of growth of the church in Africa. This is the model I have chosen. More on this see www.healthyleaders.org.

Millersville, PA

I arrived in PA on 1st July and met by Pastor Duane Metzler who is resident pastor of University Christian Fellowship(UCF) at Millersville University. This is a fellow with more than 120 students and it is the largest campus ministry.

I have been involve in leading Bible Study, Sharing at the UCF retreat and witnessed God move on the heart of the students in a great. On Saturday night we experience the presence of God during worship and several students received deliverance from different addiction.

I have meeting with Pastor mainly from the Mennonite Church and having felloship with them and sharing with them my perspective on Leadership development and change in the church. The response of these person to my sharing was positve and amazing. I loved talking to Bishop Richard, Pastor Kieth Blank. Pastor Robert and Pastor Moore. Blessing to this men.

My time with pastor Duane has been awesome, every time God speaking to us in different ways and bonding us. I love Pastor Duane and his wife Kris for their commitment to build the faith of th students at Millersville University.

I want to continue helping Pastor Duane and Kris in any way I can in prayer and teaching everytime I come. They have lovely daughter, Cortney and Ashley.

My ministry at the University Christian Fellowship has been a blessing to many. Through my ministry Tabitha made a decision for Christ. Please pray for Tabitha to deal with issues of her life. Pray of her health also. She needs healing from some infections.

We had a students' Retreat and at the retreat a I spoke about the Centrality of Christ in our Christian lives and I focussed more on Fellowship with Christian being the source our very lives, ability to serve, power to live for him and over life's situation, the intentionality of such inner or inward fellowship with God the father, son and the Holy Spirit.

Sunday the 16th I spoke at a Mennonite church, and I pray for another woman who was under the oppression of demonic powers. I laid my hands on her and started praying and said "in the name of Jesus you demonic spirit I command you" and before I finished the statement, the women yelled at me and said "take off you hands on me and she started running away but other took hold her and went on praying and the women fell down, and she started foaming from her mouth. She came and up and I asked to say that Jesus Christ is lord and she said she can not say because when says that something chokes. So I prayed again and asked to pray a prayer after me, 'Lord Jesus Christ, I surrender my life to you, I ask you to be lord over my life, I proclaim king and lord over my life. I am now yours, dwell in me. In Jesus's name." then I told to say, Jesus is my lord" She said and she like she just brightened up and some life came into her. I was excited to see God set this woman friend from demonic oppression. Praise God for his work.

I prayed for many people with different problems, backache, people with unforgiveness and bitterness and they experienced freedom. Praise God!. I thank God that he can use in such incredible way.

The church at the end of the service they blessed me $75 and I thank for for his provision. He is Jevohah Jireh-the Lord who provides.

I have different experience of providence in my life. pastor Duane took to work with him and made some $50 and second time I made $60 and I send this to my family at home. When there was not opportunity to preach and minister in some way, God provided some work for me get in come from my family. I thank for all these.

Today I am moving to York to stay with kenya couple for a couple of weeks as I wait on what God has in store for me. Just relaying on him day by day. He is like, James just live depending and relying on me.

I have sometimes felt like, James did you come to America to work or minister to people. But the bible is also very clear that I have to work to provide for my family

Then it is like, James you are supposed to raise money to build your training Center in Kenya, when will this happen and you seem to be going nowhere.

But God has given me assurance that at his own time he meet all the needs for my ministry and family. Amen Lord!

Life Growth Centers

Jambo (greetings) to all from Pastor Raphael Anami, July,2006

This is the first “Shiatsala Life Growth Center call” to be emailed. My hope is that this newsletter will be both informative and edifying as we share what God has clearly begun to do in the Western Province in Kenya, East Africa. We all understand that the Great Commission is to reach a lost world with the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ and Develop leaders who lead those masses that are coming to Christ. But, I believe the greatest challenge for all of us is to actually put the words of Jesus into practice—how do you get there from here? In Kenya, the Lord has given us the opportunity to participate by joining Him in what He is already doing there.

The Lord has graciously opened up an opportunity for Shiatsala Life Growth Center to begin planting small groups and a worship center in Manyulia, Kenya. The church is pastored by Pastor Raphael Anami and has about twenty members at this time. We own the title deed to a beautiful piece of property that is located on theButere-Mumias District in Shiatsala Market. The vision is to build a Worship/Training Center at that location that will train and equip nationals to reach their fellow Kenyans (and beyond). Another goal is to build an orphanage on the property to meet the ever-increasing need of caring for children of deceased (or dying) AIDS victims.

We have a very strong core group of dedicated Christians in Kenya that are committed to bringing a gospel that demonstrates integrity in leadership and a message of love, acceptance, and forgiveness. The church is impacting the community with this simple message presented in the power of the Holy Spirit. They have start a small Academy, ConneXions Elite Academy to take of the kids in the community.

The following is from a letter I just received from Pastor Raphael Anami. This clearly shows his heart and dedication to the work that Jesus has called him (and us) to do.

It is always a joy to see what God is doing in changing people’s lives, but it is even more exciting to participate in what the Lord is doing.

What is happening in the Church of Africa and the continent is an act of God. God is bringing people to Himself in an extraordinary way. Shiatsala Life Growth Center KENYA as a body of Christ within this region has a great reason to celebrate. The numbers we witness coming to Christ here and elsewhere are a wonderful testimony that God loves our Continent and is just about to turn it completely from it's Darkness to Light. It is no longer going to be known as the DARK continent. I believe our vision as Shiatsala Life Growth Center Kenya is to see a mature African church leading the global church in fulfilling the Great commission in the 21st century.

It is therefore a privilege to see this wonderful partnership serving the church in Kenya with passion and greater love of Christ for the lost. Please thank you for accepting to join us by your kind support, prayers and through all the efforts realized ever since we began working together. We honor your position in Christ as friends and love for us. Keep praying.

Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter. I hope you will pause in your busy day to pray for the work that has been started in Kenya. We also need financial assistance to accomplish all that God has given us to do. Please ask the Lord how He would have you become involved in meeting this need.

Serving with excitement!

"Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God."

William Carey, Missionary to India 1761-1834
